Challenge acceptance
The Challenge team has a start-up meeting to further detail the activity plan, division of tasks, an estimated budget and to start executing the challenge. Other aspects to be discussed are if and how ‘friends of the roadmap’ could be involved in the challenge, promotion and reflections on potential synergies with other challenges.
A1: Desk research and preparative work
Search for similar incentive initiatives and search for relevant actors (including ‘no cure no pay intermediaries’). Drafting a first overview of available sources, finding and indicating ‘low-hanging fruit’. Publishing the challenge-initiative on the roadmaps’ website including the first intermediary results from the ‘low-hanging fruit’, informing end-users about the challenge, also asking for input and their involvement.
A2: Organise a challenge stakeholder meeting
Sources: first insights, what to focus on? Learning from examples, such as the experience with EU-OSHA’s 2015 funding guide activity. Is there relevant overlap? What can be re-used? Needs of businesses: How can businesses be helped best? What needs to be the final result? Discussion on how to maintain the final overview in a structural way. Publishing outcome on the website of the Roadmap on Carcinogens.
A3: Collecting funding resources
Stock taking among ACSH-members and/or EU-OSHA’s Focal Points (on voluntary basis) on national initiatives, sources, schemes and opportunities. Interviews with EU-stakeholders to get insights and tips. Contacting insurances to explore existing funding schemes or find out opportunities. Contacting industries (European, World) to explore existing funding schemes or find out opportunities. Publishing results on the website of the Roadmap on Carcinogens.
A4: Guiding and assisting businesses
Exploring who (consultants, national enterprise organisations, etc) offers help to businesses in applying for funds. Exploring who can help spreading the deliverables to the end-users, businesses. Publishing results on the website of the Roadmap on Carcinogens.
Challenge Completed
The Challenge team has a concluding meeting where future steps are discussed and the end or the way forward is decided.
