Even though many organisations have a somewhat calmer work period in summer, carcinogens in the workplace isn’t a topic which can be ignored in any season. Therefore, the research and training institute of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), which is the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), organize an international seminar on chemicals and worker’s protection. This event takes place in Lubljana, Slovenia on the 29th and 30th of June 2017.
During this event, roughly 30 trade unionists throughout Europe get together to discuss trade union action at European level. This is a recurring event and this year the event is specifically focused on the ETUC’s campaign to stop cancer at work, and the ongoing revision of the European Carcinogens Directive.
