Basic training module ‘Chemicals Hazards at the Workplace’

Basic Training Module for National Labour Inspectorates (NLIs)

This training package was developed by SLIC to raise awareness of the subject of hazardous substances for the non-specialist National Labour Inspector. It is proposed that a person with good knowledge of this topic can utilise these training materials and deliver an interactive training session for their national labour inspectors.

  • Part 1: Why NLIs should address exposure to hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
  • Part 2: Recognise hazardous chemicals and how they can effect your health (‘risk’)
  • Part 3: Legislation and how hazardous chemicals are being controlled
  • Part 4: How to decide if hazardous chemicals are being controlled and case studies
