Finnish Minister of Social Affairs signs the roadmap!

The Finnish Minister of Social Affairs and Health Pirkko Mattila has signed a written commitment to join the “Roadmap on Carcinogens” in March 2017. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health organized a seminar “Work-related cancer can be prevented” for social partners and experts in occupational safety and health on 6th March 2017. There were 40 participants on the spot and 60 followed the live webcast. President of International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Jukka Takala gave a presentation titled “Work-related cancer, a global problem”. In addition, there were presentations about the EU proposal to amend the Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive, national statistics on occupational cancer, exposure to carcinogens, and opinions of employers’ and employees’ organizations.
