EU-OSHA starts survey on cancer risk factors

Starting this month, EU-OSHA starts fieldwork with a survey on cancer risk factors. The innovative survey looks at how European workers are exposed to a selection of cancer risk factors to better identify those responsible for most of the exposures. Such reliable data are essential for both the safety and health of workers and a productive and sustainable economy (also see challenge 1.1 of the Roadmap on Carcinogens).

Almost 25,000 interviews are arranged with workers in Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland and Spain. They will be randomly contacted on their mobile phone and asked questions tailored to their current job and about their daily tasks.
